The Archenhold Observatory and the Wilhelm Foerster Observatory are among the most traditional public observatories in Germany, while the Planetarium am Insulaner and the Zeiss Large Planetarium, Europe’s most modern science theaters, offer relevant and innovative forms of education.
The Foundation’s houses are modern bridges to the cosmos. As a joint facility, they are at the forefront of international technology and content and are an essential part of Berlin’s educational and cultural offerings. In addition to astronomy, the range of topics is being expanded to include other sciences.
Marvel at the speed of light: The YouTube channel of the Planetarium Berlin Foundation regularly publishes explanatory videos on current phenomena in astronomy and space travel, livestreams on various astronomical topics, tutorials for young and old space explorers, VR videos, and trailers for planetarium programs.
